48 hours in NYC!

NOVATEK CAMERAimg_4777.jpgIMG_4858New York is up there with one of my favourite places in the world so I was so excited to visit again in June this year. My flight landed on a Sunday afternoon on such a beautiful sunny day, what more could you possibly want?! Once I had checked in to my hotel in Times Square, I took a walk straight to Central Park to catch some rays and read. I was travelling alone which is something I’m not used to so I wanted to keep as busy as possible whilst making the most of my time in the big apple. Our original plan was to drive down from Monterey to Cambria and then up to Yosemite National Park.  However, with the road damage it was possible to still get to Cambria but it would have meant a 40+ mile diversion in land and no scenic coastal drive for us which would have been a huge shame. It turned out that our hotel booking in Cambria was the only hotel that hadn’t been paid for and we had no problems cancelling it – it was almost like it was meant to be! Cali Road Trip: San Francisco

I was sat in work on an average weekday when I received an email to say I had won a pair of flights to San Francisco with Thomas Cook Airlines – what an exciting surprise (I’d like to say a huge thank you to Thomas Cook Airlines if you are reading this)! I text my other half and once we were both over the initial excitement we started planning our trip right away. Continue reading “Cali Road Trip: San Francisco”
